DEE Assam Announces Special Recruitment Drive for 10,673 LP & UP Teacher Posts

The Government of Assam, through the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam, has officially announced a Special Recruitment Drive aimed at strengthening and improving the quality of Elementary Education in the state.
As per Government approval (eFile No. 532785 dated 28/10/2025) and under the provisions of the Assam Elementary Education (Provincialisation) (Amendment) Rules – 2025, online applications are invited from eligible and willing Contractual and State Pool Teachers currently serving under Samagra Shiksha Assam (SSA).
This recruitment aims to fill a total of 10,673 (Ten Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy-Three) posts of Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) Teachers.
Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Band–2 (PB-2), with a salary ranging from Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay and other applicable allowances.
