Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) – Recruitment 2025 for the posts of Junior Engineers, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 05/2025 for the recruitment of Junior Engineers, Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant posts. A total of 2,569 vacancies have been announced. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply online before the specified deadline.

Educational Qualification

1. Junior Engineer (Electrical): Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
2. Junior Engineer (Civil): (a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering of three years duration OR (b) a combination of any substream of basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
3. Junior Engineer (Track Machine): (a) Three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
4. Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/ Industrial/ Machining/ Instrumentation and Control/ Tools and Machining/ Tools and Die Making/ Automobile/ Production Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/ Industrial/ Machining/ Instrumentation and Control/ Tools and Machining/ Tools and Die Making/ Automobile/ Production Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
5. Junior Engineer (Diesel Electrical): Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
6. Junior Engineer (S and T / Telecommunication): Three years Diploma in (a) Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
7. Depot Material Superintendent: Three Years Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institution.
8. Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized University/ Institute.
